Fast food is now an important part of modern life,
making it very difficult to teach children how
to eat healthily. The cheapest and easiest foods
are the foods that are often the least healthy.
If you give your child a choice between a healthy
diet and junk food, you usually won't like the
results.
While it's impossible to get a child to love
all healthy foods, there are ways to get your
child to try
and hopefully like at least a few of them. You can be as creative as you want
because convincing
kids to eat healthy foods might be a little
harder than the
kids you think. - Introduce healthy foods. While
it would be great if your children understood the importance of
fruits and vegetables, this is not always
possible.
If you can't get them to eat delicious food
voluntarily,
there are ways to sneak them in, such as making
muffins with bananas or apples, or pizza with
spinach on it.
- Call fruits and vegetables by funny names. You
can call broccoli a “plant,” which makes eating it even more enjoyable. There
are many different
names you can call fruits and vegetables by, you can even make your own
if you want. Most children enjoy eating
foods that seem fun.
- Improves the taste of food. Ranch dressing is
a great
for broccoli, while peanut butter is a great
topping for celery. There are several
combinations for vegetables that can make them much tastier. You can let your
child choose a topping
for a vegetable, even if it's something you
don't normally like.
- Preparing vegetables. Just as saying the name
helps children eat healthy foods, making them
look funny also helps. You can do this by creating
funny designs on the disk or by configuring them
until the
looks human. Although some parents don't like
their children playing with their food, sometimes it helps them eat healthier.
There are many ways to help your children eat healthier, but for them to enjoy
it, it also has to be fun. This is not always an easy task,
because children generally do not like foods
that are good for them. However, this can be achieved with a little creativity.
Hopefully this will help your child develop a love of healthy foods for the
rest of their lives.
